Maddie Wilson, a rising junior at the University of Michigan, is a dynamic force bridging the realms of business and film with a bold vision for making a lasting impact. As a co-president of Out for Business, the university's largest LGBTQ+ professional affinity organization, she connects queer youth with life-changing opportunities while rallying Gen-Z to co-create innovative, inclusive solutions. Additionally, Maddie runs Filmic Productions, an entirely student-run production company based in Ann Arbor, MI, dedicated to telling beautiful stories through the lens of young creatives, fostering an environment where their artistic vision can thrive.
Drawing on her experience at Born This Way Foundation, Maddie has harnessed the transformative power of media to champion youth mental health initiatives. She recognizes the profound impact storytelling can have on personal and societal well-being. By combining her major in Business and minor in Film, Maddie seeks to redefine the intersection of media and social good, utilizing narratives as a catalyst for change.
Driven by a profound belief in the power of storytelling, Maddie seeks to utilize her skills and knowledge to effect positive change on a global scale. Her ultimate goal is to leverage the art of storytelling to inspire, uplift, and bring about tangible improvements in communities worldwide.
